Costa de Cantabria

The Cantabrian coast is located in the north-west of Spain, on the Atlantic Ocean. Although the area is becoming more accessible, it is not yet a popular tourist destination. This makes it still an authentic area with a beautiful granite coast where rock formations are interrupted by sandy beaches and where beautiful villas, castles and fortresses can be found on cliffs and rocks. The sloping green landscape starts to become more mountainous inland but towards Santander in the west, the coastline becomes flatter.

Santander is the capital of this area and has become a lively seaside resort, which is especially popular with the Spanish themselves. In the summer months, life takes place outside, on and around the wide entrance steps to the beach and the extensive boulevards where the better restaurants, hotels and shops can be found. Further on, you'll come to authentic villages like Santillana del Mar; here you'll feel like you're back in the Middle Ages, walking through the well-preserved buildings.

Due to the crisis, a lot of houses at the Costa de Cantabria are repossessed by banks. These villa’s and apartments are now in forced sale. This creates an opportunity to buy your perfect home at the Spanish coast for a very profitable and affordable price.
